About me

I’m fascinated by anatomy: the way our bodies move, the patterns we get stuck in and what we can do to change that. I also love connecting with people and that’s why I love Shiatsu.

I qualified in shiatsu at the British School of Shiatsu Do in London in 2005 and gained a level 4 diploma in Sports Injuries and Massage from the APNT in 2008.

For over ten years I have specialized in working with climbers and sports injuries at the Castle Climbing Centre in North London, where I co-ran ClimbersClinic.

During this time, I also worked with other clients around London with a variety of issues, often postural and desk-related.

I’m constantly developing my skills and deepening my fascination with bodywork through ongoing study. Most recently, I have been taking courses in Myofascial Release and Inner Qigong.

Previously and now

I studied sculpture at Goldsmiths University in London and went on to have various sculpture related jobs, working in a sculpture casting foundry, a TV props department, model making and, finally, as a specialist decorator for many years - until I became very allergic to paint. This was what initially led me to begin my studies in massage, where I discovered an area of work that is totally fascinating to me as well as being deeply rewarding.

I’m also a printmaker, with a bit of a dog obsession, and I enjoy doing dog portraits. Since moving to Torquay, I’ve also become a bit addicted to swimming.
